Description
Come along to Unique Cottage Studios in Spalding to try this beautiful combination of traditional batik & silk painting.
Traditionally batik is used as a resist method on cotton, and a sticky substance called Gutta is used with silk painting.
However, you get the best of both in these sessions – apply the wax resist lines with hot wax, and then enjoy applying the beautiful vibrant colours of the silk paint!
Skills covered include:
- How to prepare your frame
- Use of traditional tools
- Creating an effective resist with wax
- How to apply the paint & create effects
- Finishing the product.
No experience necessary.
